Training Coordinator / Tender Specialist in Canada

We are currently seeking a Tender/Bid Specialist and Training Coordinator.

  Responsibilities:  

  • Source and bid government and private sector contracts for training courses and technology services
  • Create bids and proposals, prepare documentation for tenders, contract agreements etc
  • Networking within industry
  • Provide monthly reports on bid activity to the Supervisor
  • Registration and maintenance of government website bid
  • Organisation and administration of training events throughout Canada (eg sales, logistics, invoicing)
  • Enquiry & Booking management
  • Business development of existing client base, upselling training, consultancy & managed training offering
  • Preparation of offers and marketing campaigns
  • Recruitment of new instructors

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Canadian Government contracting
  • Understanding of procurement principles, practices, and models
  • Knowledge of legal language and terminology in the bid
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Self-Starter (you will normally be working on your own)
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of negotiation best practices
  • The desire for self-development
  • Technical experience in the IT area very welcome
  • French language welcome, but not required
