Project Management for Practitioners

Learn the standard project management skills including commercial, planning, interpersonal and financial aspects to success in project management. 

This program combines different learning techniques including a face to face and Virtual Instructor led session to ensure it is interactive and engaging. This program equips attendees with standard project management skills, as well as provides a practical understanding of some of the standard project management tools and processes that are used across industries (includes the One PM Toolkit). 

In this instructor-led, live training, participants will be able to:

• Understand the standard project management tools and processes used across industries as well as linkage to those used within Customer’s organisation (including the One PM Toolkit). 
• Identify the fundamental tools and techniques that can be employed to successfully manage projects within the Customer’s organisation.
• Successfully apply tools and templates that might be utilized in each of the major project phases (Initiating, Planning, Executing and Control, Closure). 
• Better manage project and team members through a variety of motivational, communication, negotiation, leadership and conflict resolution techniques, as well as determine personal strengths and weaknesses. 

Audience

• Persons with 1 to 2 years project experience as a work leader who wish align the rigor and discipline of managing projects to externally recognized standards as set out by the Project Management Institute. 

Format of the Course

• This is a 3-day face to face Instructor led session and 4 Virtual Instructor led sessions of 2 hours each. There is a post program assessment and the PMI Exam Readiness which is optional. Prior to attending, attendees are required to download the Customer’s organisation OnePM Toolbox and familiarize themselves with it as it will be referred to throughout the training and is used on all Customer’s organisation projects.
