Overview:

This course is instructor led and can be broken down into three two-hour webinars to be undertaken in one session or as series of separate bite-sized sessions to suit the candidates’ timetable. The course is led, directed and designed by trainers with extensive experience in the use of mindfulness techniques within high pressure roles across a variety of industries. Although the basic principles of mindfulness originate in the Buddhist, Zen and Tibetan meditation techniques, the benefits of mindfulness and meditation are supplemented by an increasing body of academic research. The course allows candidates to discover some of the origins of the method but rapidly embarks into the practical application of mindfulness. Using practical meditation techniques, candidates will be encouraged to consider their thoughts and the effect of their feelings. Progressing between formal and informal meditation, the course demonstrates how these techniques can be brought into regular routines to develop bespoke techniques to offset the effects of stress and overwork.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what the principles of mindfulness are and how they can be applied.
  • Apply these techniques into formal and informal meditation as part of a daily routine.
  • Discuss the various techniques and how they may be used to develop personnel reliance particularly in times of uncertainty.
