Activity 1 - AI for Reputation - Some anonymised/fabricated review data will be shared, fed into an AI tool, to generate review summarisation, auto-generating insights from multiple reviews, proposed responses. Another simulated guest review will be shared with AI then prompted to generate a sentiment summary and identify key themes for responding. Discussion around AI bots for auto-generating review responses.
Activity 2 - AI for Marketing - Use AI for creative campaigns based on a simulated campaign goals and some hotel data. Get AI to generate a campaign headline and variants of email copy for different types of guests (e.g. business traveler vs. family vs. couples vs retirees). Overview of effective “prompting” to get a better response from an AI tool e.g. Turn “write a hotel ad” into “write a 3-line ad for a 4-star hotel near the beach, targeting high net worth families for the summer holidays.”
Activity 3 - AI for Bookings - Demo using simulated data in a mockup to show dynamic pricing, experience personalisation. Explore a hotel website or mockup booking engine and discuss how AI might personalize the booking experience. How could AI be tailored to improve “Leaders Club"
5 minutes share back: What did participants discover, how could they take this forward, business goals and uses cases for hoteliers to investigate.
5 minutes wrap up & next steps: Remember security, ethics around using AI, explainability of AI responses and discuss data sharing opportunities and potential for own AI model.
