Course Outline:

This training course will provide delegates with:

  • the ability to analyse the data that comes back from Microsoft Forms survey and link to surveys developed in Microsoft forms, as well as covering Excel basic for those least familiar with the product
  • the ability to analyse Forms-based surveys that are likely to use these formulas:
    • AVERAGE
    • MEDIAN
    • MIN
    • MAX
    • COUNT
    • COUNTA
    • COUNTIF
    • COUNTIFS
    • SUM
    • SUMIF
    • SUMIFS
    • VLOOKUP
  • a basic introduction to the product, explaining the layout of the workbook and basic functions. Specific general functions i.e. Calculating percentages, using formulas for basic arithmetic, increasing/decreasing decimal places etc.
  • chart creation: pie charts, column/bar, staked column/bar, line graphs are the most common ones used in survey reporting.
  • an introduction to filter options would be required, as well as an introduction to PivotTables to help with data exploration - as the data exported from a Forms survey is laid out in a table format. Additionally, being able to count responses to one question, filtered by the responses to another question, is a common request from survey data.
  • help cross-referencing questions, e.g. “rank these services in order of importance” and “rate this service out of ten”
  • the ability to export current surveys “multiple-choice, multiple response” questions to Excel and there may be a requirement to filter these in a table as well as the option to count the number of responses received.
