Overview:

This course will provide a foundational understanding of how to secure a modern cloud system. Also in this course, you will discuss modern and traditional systems, outlining the differences to tackle the current challenges in a risk-off environment.

Course Outline:

1. Understand core cloud computing concepts.
2. Understand the foundational security practices that are required to secure current cloud computing systems.
3. Learn the differences between traditional data security and cloud-based data security practices.
4. Understand the identity/access management practices of both cloud providers and consumers.
5. Understand how to protect data-at-rest, data-in-transit, and data-in-use within a cloud environment.
6. Understand standard cloud security network designs and architecture models. 
7. Understand the complexity of cloud threat actors and techniques used to attack a cloud computing infrastructure 
8. Understand the regulatory requirements needed to secure data in the cloud and the difficulties in meeting those requirements.
