Public Speaking and Presentation Skills

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Enhance participants' capability in delivering high-impact and persuasive presentations and enable the participants to speak confidently in public.
• To have an overview of the key elements of public speaking (including objective setting, audience analysis and structuring a presentation into compelling messages).
• To be more aware of the essential elements of a powerful presentation.
• To be able to apply the key public speaking elements into practice through presenting in class and getting instant feedback in a safe and carefree environment.
• To respond to audience's feedback and handle challenging questions and interruptions. 

1. Understanding the audience through verbal and non-verbal communication.

2. Organizing thoughts and delivering ideas effectively.

3. Learning common public speaking traps and ways to avoid the traps.

4. Making public presentations in persuasive and impressive way and responding to the audience's feedback. Practice(s) of public presentation given in Cantonese and practice of public presentations given in English are expected for trainees.

5. Handling difficult situations with greater ease and confidence.
