Overview:

This agenda is designed to provide a structured yet flexible approach that accommodates varying levels of understanding among participants while focusing on practical applications relevant to their roles within *Department*. By emphasising hands-on experience and real-world use cases, the training aims to enhance confidence in using AI tools effectively.

Course Outline:

Session 1: Introduction to AI in *Department* 

Welcome and Objectives (15 minutes) 

· Overview of the training agenda and expected outcomes. 

· Participant introductions and sharing of personal AI experiences. 

Understanding AI Fundamentals (45 minutes) 

· Key concepts of AI, including Generative AI, Machine Learning, and their relevance to *Department* 

· Discussion on the current state of AI within *Department* and its strategic importance. 

AI Tools Overview (30 minutes) 

· Introduction to Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, and ChatGPT. 

· Brief discussion on how these tools can be integrated into daily operations. 

Break (15 minutes) 

Session 2: Practical Applications of AI Tools 

General Use Cases for Government Roles (45 minutes) 

· Streamlining Administrative Tasks: Examples of document summarisation,meeting assistance, and data management using AI tools. 

· Enhancing Public Service Delivery: Discussing intelligent chatbots,personalised services, and automated reminders. 

· Improving Decision-Making Processes: Utilising data analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment with AI. 

Hands-On Workshop: Using AI Tools (45 minutes) 

· Participants will engage in practical exercises using Copilot, NotebookLM, and ChatGPT. 

· Task 1: Summarising a document with ChatGPT. 

· Task 2: Creating a simple report using Copilot. 

· Task 3: Organising notes from a meeting and creating ToDo Items using NotebookLM.

Wrap-Up Session: Action Planning and Q&A (45 minutes) 

Developing an Implementation Roadmap (30 minutes) 

· Participants will outline personal action plans for integrating AI tools into their roles. · Discussion on governance considerations, ethical implications, and best practices for responsible AI use. 

Open Q&A Session (15 minutes) 

· Addressing specific concerns or questions from participants regarding AI applications in their daily work.
