DAY 1: Design Thinking and Its initial Phases & The Tools in Effective Design Thinking
Part 1: Initial Contact, Introductions and Setting of Expectations
- Facilitator introduction and expectation setting from the participants
Part 2: The Core of Design Thinking
- Discussion on the key concepts of design thinking and its relevance in today’s delivery of work and initiatives
Part 3: The Humanistic Model and Empathy and its importance on design research
- Deep dive discussion on the core concept and foundation of design thinking which is empathy and how it plays a role on developing initiatives that give value to the human experience
Part 4: Critical and Creative thinking tools and their relevance to Design Thinking
- Discussion on the different tools that enhances solutions minded approach and maximizes both critical and creative thinking which would be helpful in the creation of an effective decision progression and planning for the design.

Part 5: Introduction to course works (Group)
- Participants will be placed in groups and will decide upon a program that they are seeing in the organization. They will be provided with a template that will cover the 5 steps of design thinking which are:
- Empathize
- Define
- Ideate
- Prototype
- Test
DAY 2: Design Presentations
Part 1: Initial Contact, Introductions and Setting of Expectations
- Facilitator introduction and expectation setting from the participants
Part 2: Team Presentations for Group 1 and 2
- Teams will present their identified design with a respective critique from their peers that can be further developed into an actual project moving forward.
Part 3: Synthesis of the output
Part 4: Team Presentations for Group 3 to 5 (depending on class size)
- Teams will present their identified design with a respective critique from their peers that can be further developed into an actual project moving forward.
Part 5: Final summary and end of training pleasantries
Please do note that for the entirety of the training working breaks will be followed and all discussion of the theories will be embedded by working activities that will aim to improve the retention and application of the context.
