Overview:

Generic PowerBI training for the majority of staff at all levels. The objective of this course is to ensure key staff can master the basics of creating Power BI reports with a view to progressing into more advanced skills in this area over time.

 Training content can be tailored to specific requirements. 

Course Outline:

  1. Import and shape data (ETL operations) with PowerQuery and M language (basic level)

  2. Model Data (relations between data sources, additional tables, ex. Dates table)

  3. Additional Calculated columns and measures using DAX (basic level)

  4. Creating visualisations

  5. Publishing to PowerBI services and creating Dashboards

  6. Working with PowerBI Report Builder – optional (paginated reports, parametrized reports)

  7. Working with Python scripts and visualisations – for participants with basic knowledge of python scripting.
