Prerequisites:

The training aims to introduce the participant to the Design Thinking methodology.

Prior knowledge or familiarity with this topic is not necessary to participate in this training.

Overview:

Design Thinking is a world-renowned method for creating innovative services, processes and products.

At the center of Design Thinking is the human. The essence of the method is a properly defined problem and focusing on the real needs of the end user. Awareness of this important difference limits the risk of failure.

The main goal of the training is to learn the practical dimension of the method in everyday work.

Course Outline:

Module 1

What is DesignThinkig?

  1. User concept
  2. Creatively breaking patterns
  3. Hypothesis testing

Effects for the participant

  • Learn the principles of needs research – the user's world
  • It will answer the question of what is worth changing
  • It will test the profitability of introducing changes

Module 2

  1. Empathy, understanding needs
  2. Empathy map
  3. User experience map
  4. Interviews in the context of functionality
  5. Think with questions
  6. User stories

  • Learning the principles of effective needs research
  • The ability to ask the right questions
  • Building space for creation

Module 3

Defining the right problem

  1. Synthesis of the obtained information
  2. Customer Problem Definition – Problem Mapping
  3. Customer's perspective

  • Is able to define the client's problem
  • Introduces criteria from general to specific
  • It indicates specific steps for further change and implementation at the start

Module 4

Generating ideas

  1. Brainstorm
  2. Idea Map
  3. Brainstorming
  4. FUCO and FUO in idea generation

  • Knows the principles of brainstorming
  • Knows the rules of communication focused on listening

Module 5

Building prototypes

  1. How to create a basic prototype of a solution
  2. How to maintain the customer's perspective during the prototype creation stage
  3. Let the customer have their say – prototype in collaboration with the customer

  • Can create a prototype using available tools
  • He is able to present and discuss what he has created
  • Knows the features of the product and can correlate them with the customer's needs

Module 6

Testing

  1. We designate the testing area
  2. We determine the scope of tests
  3. Chamfering
  4. Verification process of receipt and acceptance of the product
