Course Code: plcsiembesp
Duration: 28 hours
Prerequisites:

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Understanding of mechanical devices and systems

Audience

  • Engineers
  • Technicians
Overview:

PLCs are a critical component in modern manufacturing automation. This instructor-led, live training (online or onsite) is aimed at beginner-level to intermediate-level engineers and technicians who wish to master the fundamentals of PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens) and apply them to real-world manufacturing scenarios.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role and applications of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs in the manufacturing industry
  • Program both PLCs using TIA Portal/Simatic Manager (Siemens) and RS Logix 5000/Studio 5000 (Allen Bradley)
  • Design basic HMI applications and integrate with PLCs
  • Troubleshoot common issues and perform maintenance on PLC systems
  • Design and implement a PLC-controlled system for a manufacturing process
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PLC programming through a practical project

Format of the Course

  • Interactive lecture and discussion
  • Lots of exercises and practice
  • Hands-on implementation in a live-lab environment
